Disaster Response Buckets

Michael Kallstrom and Ursula Richards participated as our representatives in the annual SWT Synod Assembly in Corpus Christi. Many congregations including Holy Cross donated requested essential items toward to our Synod’s mission to prepare buckets of supplies for disasters. In order to fill the imbalance of supplies and increase our Synod’s reach, Michael offered to bring back supplies that we had an overabundance of, so that we can continue making disaster relief buckets and be a hub for Central Texas for disaster relief affecting our area and other places as needed. Michael is reaching out to nearby congregations, regardless of their denomination or belief system to make this a real interfaith effort. He has also been reaching out to hardware stores for more buckets with lids. We are grateful to Lowes for donating 20!

Each bucket will contain:
5 scouring pads,
7 sponges (assorted sizes),
1 scrub brush
5 dust masks,
1 pair of work gloves,
